No luck yet

Computer still isn't working.
I'm in a bad mood, frustrated.
I'm reinstalling WoW.
I can't even play on my druid anymore.

That's all....really.

I'm working on my druid...

No! Don't stop reading!
I know this is a hunter blog, I know that I am a hunter. However; Artemes is having some....problems. Meaning, my computer hates her. It freezes any and every time I login so I'm taking this opportunity to do something I've been putting off.

Leveling my druid.
I like to heal, I SOMEWHAT like to DPS melee style (less buttons to worry about :P). So I'm getting my 30 druid to 40 at least in preparation for duel specs, I likely won't be getting them for Artemes, would be a bit of a waste of 1k gold. But Mirubea could use duel specs, feral/restoration so she could solo and heal instances.

Soooo....Miru is feral right now (just spent her only 15g on respeccing /cry). I tried STV as resto....ooh god. AAH TWO MOBS....CRAP.
/cast nature's grasp
/cast resoration
/cast travel form

RUN AWWAAYYY
So yeah.
Hopefully Feral will be better, I kinda like the rogue-like bit with cat form, stealthing behind your target and backstabbing them. :P
I'm going to reskin it though, god, fing ugly as hell.

Wish me luck leveling! x.x I miss Artemes already....just chillin' in Shadowmoon Valley until my new computer comes...

I lied again. Sorry.

Sorry, no farm guide for Winterspring today, I've got some other things on my mind. Most importantly, I think, at least. Is that I'm finally high enough level to tame the elusive Spirit Beast. I spent the last half hour or so of my night on WoW (auto-logs at 1:30AM) doing Oracle dailies, I finished them off with a few minutes to spare. So I decided to whip up a /target macro for Spirit Beast (Loque'nahak).

No luck so far, but I hadn't done much research, now that I have my epic flyer, and my Cold Weather Training I'll be doing rounds of Scholzar after doing my Oracles dailies every day. Maybe I'll get lucky. I really hope so. I'll be toting around my silly worm Jagermeister while I'm on the hunt, I really don't know which pet to get rid of to replace with this magnificent creature. I'm pretty sure it'll be lil' ol' Jager, I don't really like worms that much, though his skin is frickin' badass. Other than him I have...

Tinder, the Zul'Drak wolf, I love her for her buff in Instaces/Raids if there are no other hunters with wolves...

Mogget the Ghost Sabre who was actually quite easy to get but took a bit of a trek from Ashenvale to northern Darkshore. I love him for his...well, he looks awesome and he has damn good DPS.

Talon, my first raptor reincarnated into a Blades Edge raptor (was an old Durotar skin before). I can't bring myself to drop him even if he's lagging behind at level 72...

Brashen, my Gorilladin, love him to death, he's the rarespawn from Un'Goro, the only gorilla skin that isn't hidious. I spent a whole day waiting for him to spawn. I paid a group of lowbies to sit at his spawn point and wait while I farmed ore and leveled cooking. My hearth set to Tanaris so I could get back quickly. When he finally appeared I about had a heart attack. So worth it, I'll never drop him, ever ever, not even for Spirit Beast.

So I'll be rolling with a junk pet, likely Tinder (easily replaceable) or Jager...or hell, maybe I'll even try out a serpent! :O There are some pretty cool skinned ones in Scholzar, so I can try that. Or a devilsaur...heck, I haven't tried many pets, mostly sticking to the classics. Silithid maybe? Venom web sounds cool. Though it's freakin' creepy.

Anyway. My hunt for Spirit Beast has begun. For the next few days, no leveling.

Things to do:
1. Netherwing Dailies, at least 10 eggs gathered
2. Oracles Dailies (only takes about 20 minutes at the most)
3. Spirit Beast circles arouns Scholzar for an hour or so. If I have extra time.....

Optional:

4. I'd like to run Violet Hold....
5. I'd like to run Gundrak....
6. I'd like to run Halls of Stone...
7. Old-World/Outland Raids plz? They're hella fun :P

On a less disheartening note...
<------
Really? REALLY Blizz?
I have Lich King. I'm level 77... I don't want another copy, thanks, it's great and all, but I'm not the multiboxing type. :P

So...now you know where I'll be.
G'night. Thanks for reading. <3

Extreme Computer Fail

My computer fails. Not this one, mind you, I'm talking about the one actually capible (somewhat) of playing WoW. The Desktop. Before I get into that, I'll tell you what didn't fail.

Last night I quested quite a bit in Scholzar Basin (once I hit 76 and could pick up the quests) I also met a very friendly shammy (level 79) who was also questing there and we helped eachother out. I got roughly six stacks of leather, so I was a very happy skinner. (ooooh all beast mobs <3) Thank you Blizz!
Anyway, the Shammy and I pwned some Alliance who were attempting to gank us (and fail, even at 80). They eventually backed off and let us quest in peace. I ALMOST hit 77 before I had to leave, I thanked him of course, turned in a few quests and logged.

I finally hit 77 tonight, and I can finally fly around Northrend on my snazzy epic flyer. Is it bad that I laugh everytime I see an 80 on a regular ol' slowpoke flyer? Does that make me a bad person? :P

I'm still working on Netherwing rep as well, that Netherwing Drake will so be worth it. I'm going to be getting the green one for a few reasons,
1) Green happens to be my favorite color
2) I don't see very many green Drakes, blues, however, are very common
3) It's just damn pretty!
4) It's the only color that isn't a variation of blue (even the Onyx one looks blue!)

So yes. In a few days time I should have my Netherwing Drake. I would probably be revered today if it weren't for extensive computer fail.
After hitting 77 and finishing up Scholzar (even the Oracles dailies for the day) I flew over to Dalaran and took the portal to Shattrath intending to do my Netherwing Dailies before logging.
Unfortunately, that's when the computer started to die on me. I was goofing off in Treokkar because, well, I can. I was flying through elite mobs, they'd aggro, I'd fly back up, they'd deaggro. Great fun. However, it made the computer freeze the way it does when it thinks I should be doing real work.
So, I restart and head to do my dailies. I take two steps into the mine and accept "Dragons are the least of our problems!" quest from the miner guy in there and it freezes again. I /sigh and restart + relog.
I start killing those silly ravagers and getting mining carts and keeping an eye out for eggs and one of my guildies inquires about a hunter choice of armor. (+100 armor vs extra agility in gem slots) I advised him to, even though that agility is very nice, survivability is important if you're leveling, so take the ones with more armor and stamina. I then linked the amazing helm that I want from Oracles and he began to /drool and ask how to get it. As I was typing up a reply....
it froze again.
I sighed again and restarted. As soona s I logged back in I began typing an apology in /g for leaving and not answering his questions. Before I can hit 'enter' it freezes again.
Needless to say I'm getting miffed at that point. I take out a pencil and start scribbling away, drawing my future netherwing mount....while waiting for the stupid computer to boot up again.
Okay, back up...I take two steps forward, it freezes again.
And again.
And again.
Until finally, it's frozen eight times in a row without me being able to finish a single daily (besides the gathering and crystals ones) quest for Netherwing rep. On the ninth try I type /cry into /g and begin to QQ about my computer troubles, it freezes again and I leave.
So....my Netherwing rep will take a bit longer than I'd like, I may start farming eggs instead of doing the mine quests (I hate them so much!). It's pretty easy to get 5-9 eggs in an hour or so, since the place is never farmed anyway because everyone's out getting their drakes (which I think are ugly as hell).

Yeah, so in short, my new computer (Dell XPS...250GB HD, 2GB RAM, generally badass /drool) will be coming soon. I'm really excited about not having to delete another game for every patch. (I'm serious. I had to get rid of four games when I got Lich King and Burning Crusade)
That old hunk of junk is going into the bedroom to satisfy the children's need to play silly games like Spore and Zoo Tycoon 2.

Despite the extreme fail of my computer, I'm still excited about having my speedy mount, I also am broke. I have MAYBE 400g between my bank and main, which is pathetic considering all the Saronite and leather I'm getting from Scholzar.

Tomorrow Night:
Begin Spirit Beast patrols /joy.
I hope I can find her quickly....I want people to /bow at my pet as I've done lots and lots to other Spirit Beasts. I'm going to have to think of a good name though, assuming I'm getting her.
With the Spirit Beast Patrols I'll to Oracle Dailies and work towards that helm. Oooh it has lots of crit and lots of AP and even some Stamina and Agility and HELL even some Intellect! I love it to bits! It also looks really cool with a jawbone of like a shark, so I won't need to turn off helm graphics for the first time since 68ish :D Oh the simple pleasures in life!

Okay. Bed now, it's getting late. 3AM to be exact. :P I promise, farming guide tomorrow, I just have to type it up and finish up the maps. XD

Epic Flying! YES!

No farming guide today, y'know why? Because I didn't farm tonight! I attempted a random PuG AQ40 raid, We failed. No cooperation; the master looter was unfair and didn't even distribute half the drops. Oh well. Old world raiding, lol.

Anyway, more importantly...

I finally got enough for epic flying and my epic flying mount! I was going to just get the training and get the netherwing drake. But god, I just couldn't wait! I got the Swift Purple Windrider and god is she beautiful.
I am flying around SMV, sooo excited. The computer froze, I didn't care. I restarted happily because I knew I was on my epic flyer. I can do mining runs in half the time! NO! 1/3 the time! This is so amazing. Now all I need to do is grind Netherwing rep. /sigh.

So....I've decided to do a few things here. Since one of my favorite aspects of the game is the silliness and bragging rights of mounts & companion pets...I've decided to compile a wishlist, mounts and companions that I'm going to work towards getting and in what order I'm going to work towards them.

Mounts:
1. Netherwing Drake (Netherwing Rep)
2. Talbuk (Mag'har Rep)
3. Undead Warhorses (Undercity Rep)
4. Hawkstriders (Silvermoon Rep)
5. Kodos (Thunder Bluff Rep)
6. Brown Bear (Vendor)
7. Blue Windrider (Vendor)
8. Cenarian War Hippogryph (Cenarian Circle Rep)
9. Black War Bear (For the Horde! Achievement)
10. (Eventually) Albino Drake ("Leading the Cavalry" Achievement)

Companion Pets:
1. Tiny Sporebat (Sporegger Rep)
2. Children's Week Pet (Any)
3. Owls (Alliance only Vendors)
4. Cobra Hatchling (Oracles Quest reward)
5. Azure Whelpling (Drop)
6. Crimson Whelpling (Drop)
7. Captured Firefly (Drop)
8. Disgusting Oozling (Drop)
9. Tree Frog (Vendor)
10. Chicken (Vendor)

Now the timeframe for obtaining the companion pets and mounts..hehe I can't be sure. :P May take me quite a while, but I'll get to 'em eventually!

Farming: Azshera

This is a little series I've been meaning to do for quite a while. I enjoy gold as much as the next person, however, I don't buy it, nor do I condone buying it. Work for your gold, it'll mean a lot more that way. So. I'm going to begin showcasing various farming spots around Azeroth and beyond (Outlands). I'll mostly be doing spots that pertain to me. I.e. places that having skinning + mining as well as other good drops.

Today's farming spot....
Azshera!

Farming For (average):

Rugged Leather (x2 per kill) 20g per stack
Thick Leather (x2 per kill) 5g per stack
Blue Dragonscale (x1 per kill) 30g per stack
Worn Dragonscale (x1 per kill) 3g per stack
Various Greenies Disenchant
Azure Whelpling (.1% droprate) 1,000g per
Mob Wealth: 5-13 silver per kill

Rating: B+
The terrain is nice, pretty even, music as well. Soothing to farm here, the dragonkin drop valuable items, being elites, their loot-tables are more varied and include rarer items, also some nice recipes for professions. The mini-pet sells well, especially with the achievement for mini-pets and whelplings in particular. Lower level means it’s good for level 60+ attempting to get enough for their flying mount. The fact that the mobs drop anywhere from 3-15 silver isn’t bad either. :)

What to Pack:

  • Hearthstone (off cooldown preferably)
  • Plenty of bagspace, no nearby repairs or vendors (Horde)
  • Food/Drink
  • Epic Ground Mount
  • Fishing Pole + Bait (Mix things up a bit, or waiting for respawn - lake is 205+ Fishing skill to cast)
  • Leatherworker’s Sachel or better (bagspace, again)
  • DPS Pet - Not really Gorilladin territory
  • Minig Pick (Some mining nodes, not enough to keep track minerals up for, though)

Suggested Level Range: 60+

Tomorrow: Winterspring
